Business Litigation

Kevin's business litigation practice has developed through the investment he makes to understand the business environments in which the firm's clients exist and their day-to-day business issues and strategies that affect their approach to a given conflict. Kevin and his staff pride themselves on the collaborative relationships they have with clients and the firm's reputation for excellence and practicality among the bench, bar, and business community. Kevin has trial, mediation, arbitration, and appellate experience in a wide range of business related matters.

Commercial Collections

Kevin has experience in a wide variety of collection strategies ranging from the traditional 3-step process of (1) suit, (2) judgment, (3) seizure and sale, to more creative options such as joint check agreements, promissory notes with incentives for accelerated payments, and other arrangements tailored to fit the nature of your relationship with your customer. Our firm offers you choices in letting the legal system help you manage your cash flow.

Construction Law

Kevin represents owners, developers, consulting professionals, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Our firm is familiar with the construction industry and is able to assist with the legal aspects of each stage of a construction project. We regularly prepare and negotiate construction contracts, as well as represent clients in contract disputes, and materialmen's liens and bond claims. Kevin has experience in all forms of construction litigation, including trials, arbitrations, and mediations.

Mergers and Acquisitions

Your consultation with an attorney during the formation (or transformation) of your business is about more than just having someone wordsmith the organizational documents or the PSA. In addition to guidance on the strategy and execution of a business transaction, this is your opportunity to seek legal advice regarding the structure, organization, and formation of your business, as well as employment contracts, non-compete agreements, commercial lease agreements, credit facilities, and other contracts that relate to the growth and stability of your new enterprise.

Workers' Comp Defense

This complex regulatory scheme is overlooked and misunderstood by many businesses. Kevin has experience in worker's compensation courts throughout Louisiana and has long-standing relationships with a network of healthcare, case management, and vocational professionals who can help manage claims brought against you to minimize the potentially significant impact these claims can have on your business.
